"The Book of Liz": Dinner theater TheatreNOW presents this comedy by Amy and David Sedaris about the sheltered, free-sweating, cheeseball-making Sister Elizabeth Donderstock (Emily Gomez), a member of the Squeamish (think Amish) community of Cluster Haven, who flees her religious order and gets a hilarious lesson in the ways of the world. Comedian Ivan Decker: 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. April 19-20 at Dead Crow Comedy Room, 265 N. Front St., Wilmington. $15 admission. Decker, originally from Vancouver, now Los Angeles- based, is a writer, stand-up comedian and actor, known for his sharp, polished, and multi-layered observational comedy. Riverfront Farmers Market: 8 a.m. -1 p.m. at Dock Street, between Front Street and Second Street, downtown Wilmington. Rain or shine.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny: 9 a.m. at the Moose Lodge, 4610 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington. Free admission. Also there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for ages under 12. 910-399-1794.

Easter Egg Roll: Presented by Surf City Parks & Recreation, 10 a.m. April 20 at the athletic fields of Surf City Community Center, 201 Community Center Drive, Surf City. Free. Six difference age groups hunting at three different times. 10:30 a.m. ages 4 and under; 10:45 a.m. ages 5-6; and 11 a.m. ages 7-12.

Easter hunt in the trunk: 10 a.m.-noon at Castle Hayne Baptist Church, 4544 Parmele Road,Castle Hayne. Games, and candy filled Easter eggs. Open for children ages up to 12.

Wilmington Geek Expo: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Wilmington Convention Center, 515 Nutt St. Admission $10-$40, free for ages under 11. Features special guests (Greg Cipes and Tini Howard), comic book creators, vendors, gaming, anime, panel discussions, and a cosplay contest. Purchase tickets online at https://purchase.growtix.com/e/Wilmington_Geek_Expo.

Easter Eggstravaganza: 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Beach Community Church, 5 N. Fourth St., Carolina Beach.  All ages will participate at both times but will be split up by age groups. Games, bounce houses, raffles, a cakewalk, face painting, egg hunts, prizes, and an appearance by the Easter Bunny, and more. Children will get a free hot dog, and every family will receive a free raffle ticket for door prize.

Kite Flying Day: 2 p.m. at Ocean Isle Beach Community Center, 44 East First Street, Ocean Isle Beach. Participants can bring their own kite or purchase one on site. 910-233-8905.
