Friday & Saturday: Ted Alexandro
New York comic Ted Alexandro has some thoughts about accountability. A recent set had Alexandro, who's playing downtown Wilmington's Dead Crow Comedy Room this weekend, talking about all of the comics taken down by sexual assault scandals, then noting, tongue firmly in cheek, that "the U.S. military has an epidemic of sexual assault and rape. People report it, it gets ignored. Why should the stand-up comedy community be held to a higher standard than the U.S. military?" Alexandro also quipped during a set at NYC's Comedy Cellar last year that, "If you had told me in the 1990s that, between Bill Cosby and Donald Trump, one would go on go on to become president and one would be going to jail for rape, I would've gotten that one wrong." Alexandro has performed on numerous late-night talk shows and has had two half-hour specials on Comedy Central. Details: 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Oct. 25-26 at the Dead Crow Comedy Room, 265 N. Front St., Wilmington. $15. 910-399-1492 or DeadCrowComedy.com
