Two Dallas-based companies say they plan to build a 339-unit apartment project in a fast-growing corridor in North Austin.

Rosewood Property Company and Trinsic Residential Group will develop Aura Avery Ranch at U.S. 183A and Avery Ranch Boulevard.

The project will consist of three- and four-story buildings situated on a 16-acre property. Common areas will include a clubhouse, pool and fitness center with a yoga lawn and dog park and nearly 300 mature trees, the developers said.

The apartments will feature a contemporary design with high-end appliances and fixtures, according to the developers. Planned rental rates were not disclosed.

Units are expected to be available for lease in spring 2021 with move-ins starting later in the year. Aura Avery Ranch is expected to be fully completed by 2022.

Demand for high-end apartments in North Austin has increased in recent years as major employers -- including Amazon, Apple and Indeed -- have expanded nearby, drawing young professionals and families seeking housing with amenities.

“We believe Aura Avery Ranch’s high-end community amenities and thoughtful residence design will fit a growing need in North Austin as the area continues to see immense employment and entertainment growth,” said Jason Hauck, director of Central Texas development at Trinsic Residential Group.

The project is the first in Austin for Rosewood, while Trinsic is behind several local apartment projects including the 368-unit Aura Riverside community at East Riverside and Montopolis drives and Aura on Lamar, a 279-unit apartment complex planned for 5629 North Lamar Boulevard.

“Trinsic is a best-in-class developer and knows the Austin market well,” said Rick Perdue, president of Rosewood Property Company. “They have a successful track record as a leader in high-end multifamily development, making them the ideal partner in our first Austin venture.”

Aura Avery Ranch’s design team included Davies Collaborative as architect, Benkendorfer and Associates as landscape architect, Faulkner Design Group as interior designer and Jones Carter Engineering as civil engineer. Associated Bank was the construction lender.

Apartments at Aura Avery Ranch are expected to be available for lease in spring 2021 with move-ins starting later in the year. The project is expected to be fully completed by 2020.
