OVERNIGHT: Scooter rider seriously injured after hit by vehicle near downtown Austin

A woman was seriously injured after she was hit by a vehicle while riding a scooter near downtown Austin early Sunday.

Austin-Travis County EMS medics responded to the 70 block of Rainey Street near River Street around 2:23 a.m.

The woman, who medics believe to be in her 20s, was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries.
