MUGSHOTS: Couple caught having sex under Northwest Austin overpass face charges, police say

Austin police arrested a couple on Monday after they were caught having sex under an overpass in broad daylight in Northwest Austin.

Officers received a report of a man and woman having sex in public around 3:30 p.m. under an overpass on Balcones Woods Drive, according to an arrest warrant affidavit filed on Tuesday.

When an officer arrived at the scene, he saw the couple, both with pants down and in plain view of passing cars, having sex near the top of the bridge, the affidavit said.

Police identified the pair as Brittani Maxine House, 32, and Nikita Nickolayei Selivyorstov, 30, according to the report.

Both later admitted to having sex, but said they did not know it was illegal, police said.

The two have been charged with public lewdness, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in a county jail and a maximum fine of $4,000.

House was not listed in online jail records Tuesday, but Selivyorstov remained in the Travis County Jail will bail set at $3,500, records show.
