Police investigating shooting near UT campus, suspects in custody

Austin Police are investigating a shooting that happened near the University of Texas campus early Sunday.

Shortly after 1 a.m. police responded to the incident in the 2400 block of Longview Street near W. 24th Street just west of the campus.

The suspects involved in the shooting are in custody and are not believed to be affiliated with the university.

Police are actively investigating the shooting. Anyone with information on the crime is encouraged to call police at 512-974-2000.
