East Salem

Palmer’s Tree Farm

To get there: 4716 Poinsettia St. NE, Salem; take 99E about 3 miles past Chemawa Road and turn right on Poinsettia Street; from Interstate 5, take Brooks Exit (Exit 263), then Brooklake Road east one mile to Brooks, turn right on Highway 99E and go about one mile to Poinsettia Street; from Keizer, head north on River Road N, take a right on Quinaby Road, then go to 99 E, turn right and you’ll see signs.

Open: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, Nov. 23 until they run out of trees

Trees: Noble, Nordmann, Douglas, grand and Turkish firs, Serbian and blue, green and Norway spruces; heights up to 14 feet. Trees start at $15; tabletop trees start at $6

Extras: Free hot chocolate and candy canes; wagon/train rides, a showroom with flocked trees, pre-cut trees, wreaths and stands for sale; carts for you-pick; family fun including a nativity and singing Christmas tree; plus employees will put on Davis Tree stands and provide cutting assistance and shaking and baling services.

South Salem

In Town Trees

To get there: 1640 Barnes Ave. SE; take Commercial south, left on Kuebler, right on Stroh, then straight ahead

Open: 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to sunset Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 24 to Dec. 15

Trees: Nordmanns and nobles up to 18 feet; prices start at $20

Extras: Loading assistance and delivery to South Salem available at extra charge; you choose, we cut

Schipporeit Christmas Tree Farm 

To get there: 4455 27th Avenue SE, Salem; south on Interstate 5 to Exit 252, west a quarter mile to 27th Avenue, north a quarter mile to the farm; follow the signs

Open: Noon to 5 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays to Sundays, Nov. 23 through Dec. 24

Trees: Douglas and noble firs. Douglas $28 up to 7 feet and nobles $48 up to 7 feet. Larger sizes up to 12 feet available for additional charge.

Skyline Christmas Tree Farm

To get there: 7300 Skyline Road SE, Salem; from Interstate 5 take Kuebler west. Left on Skyline Road and follow the signs (two miles past Vitae Springs Road)

Open: 9 a.m. to dusk Friday to Sunday, Nov. 23-25, Nov. 30 to Dec. 2, Dec. 7-9, 14-16

Trees: U-cut and pre-cut noble, Nordmann, Douglas, Turkish and grand firs; $25 to $45

Extras: Shaking and handsaws, hauling, cutting and baling on request. Also, complimentary hot beverages, cookies, firepit and gift shop with wreaths and garland for sale.

Silver Run Farms

To get there: 8154 Bates Road South, Salem; take Keubler to Liberty Road S. Turn south and then take a right on Bates Road

Open: Sun up to dusk Friday to Sunday, Nov. 23-25, Nov. 30 to Dec. 2, Dec. 7-9, 14-16

Trees: Nobles, $30 any size

Extras: Cookies, hot chocolate, fire, loading and tying help, cut and carry; cash and check only

To get there: 7544 Jordan St. SE, Salem; go east on Highway 22, take Joseph Street Exit, turn left on Joseph Street, left on 71st, right on Jordan

Open: 9 a.m. to dark daily, Nov. 23 through Dec. 16; u-cut only on weekdays, assistance available on weekends

Trees: Noble, Nordmann, grand and Douglas-firs, ranging from 2 to 10 feet, starting at $20; credit and debit accepted

Extras: Coffee and hot chocolate, baling, flocking and shaking, restrooms, and fresh-cut trees and wreaths for sale

Tucker Tree Farm

To get there: O’Brian Road S, Salem; take Liberty Road S, right on Jory Hill Road, right on O’Brian and go to the end of the street

Open: Noon to dark Tuesdays to Thursday and 9 a.m. to dark Friday to Sunday, opens Nov. 23

Trees: Noble, Nordmann and grand firs, ranging from $35 to $150, with large nobles up to 16 feet

Extras: Hot apple cider, cookies and candy canes, apple sling, wreaths for sale, plus cutting, loading assistance and baling

To get there: 6057 Vitae Springs Lane South, Salem; go west on Kuebler Boulevard, take a left onto Skyline Road S for 1 mile, take a right on Vitae Springs Road for 1 mile and turn left on Vitae Springs Lane.

Open: 10 a.m. to dusk Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1-2, 8-9 and 15-16

Trees: Douglas-firs (4 feet to 10 feet), $20

Extras: Free coffee, cider, cocoa, cookies; hauling, cutting and loading assistance and hand saws

Aumsville

Hampton Farms 

To get there: 11114 James Way Drive, Aumsville; from Salem, take Highway 22 to Exit 12 at Santiam Golf Club Road, turn left on Golf Club Road and cross Highway 22. Go up the hill to Steinkamp, turn left and continue to Sherman Road. Turn right on Sherman Road to James Way. Turn left on James Way to the first visible house on the left.

Open: 10 a.m. to dark Nov. 22 through Dec. 16

Trees: Noble firs, $20 to $45 for 2 to 12 feet

Extras: Cutting and loading assistance available

Dallas

Bigfoot Christmas Trees

To get there: Cherry Knoll Road; take 99 West exit off of Highway 22, then go south on 99W for three miles, then take a right at Clow Corner Road and go three miles and take a left on Cherry Knoll. Farm is a quarter mile up the road.

Open: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 23 through Dec. 21

Trees: Noble ($55), Nordmann ($50), Douglas ($30) and grand ($40) firs, with prices going up for trees over 8 1/2 feet; U-cut or pre-cut

Extras: Wreaths and fresh honey for sale, free hot drinks, cookies and candy canes, and free shaking, hauling and baling

Westwinds Farm

To get there: 700 N Fir Villa Road, Dallas; go west on Highway 22 toward the coast for 3 miles, turn left on Highway 223 (King Valley Highway), then turn left on North Fir Villa Road

Open: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sundays and by appointment Mondays to Thursdays, Nov. 23 through Dec. 15

Trees: Nordmann and Douglas-firs, starting at $20, table-top Douglas-Firs for $10

Extras: Fire, treats, cutting and hauling by employees only and tree shaking, plus hand-crafted wreaths for sale

Beal Christmas Tree Farm

To get there: 700 Oak Villa Road; off of Kings Valley Highway about 1 mile off of Highway 22

Open: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday to Monday, Nov. 23 to Dec. 21

Trees: Grand, Nordmann and Douglas firs, $30 up to 5 feet; $35 5 to 7 feet; $40 7 to 9 feet

Extras: Free shaking and baling, handmade wreaths for sale and Christmas store

Rickreall

Christmas Knoll Tree Farm

To get there: 8150 Crowley Road, Rickreall; from Salem, go west on Highway 22 to Exit 16 and go north on Highway 99 toward McMinnville 3 miles to Crowley Road, turning right. Farm is a little more than a mile on Crowley.

Open: Noon to dusk Mondays to Fridays and 10 a.m. to dusk Saturdays to Sundays, Nov. 23 through Dec. 16

Trees: Grands and Douglas, $30, and Nordmann firs, $40, cash or check only

Extras: Tractor-pulled train ride to the field and back, plus baling assistance on weekends; daily extras include free hot chocolate, cider and cookies, and decorated shop and restrooms.

Gervais

Bauman’s Farm and Garden 

To get there: 12989 Howell Prairie Road NE; Take I-5 north of Salem to the Brooks/Gervais exit 263. Turn right off the freeway, go about 1 mile to the stoplight. Turn left at the stoplight onto 99E. Go 6 1/2 miles to Howell Prairie Road. Turn Right, go 1/2 mile to our farm. (There are signs on 99E when to/ turn).

Open: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, Nov. 23 through Dec. 18

Trees: U-cut and pre-cut Douglas, nobles, Nordmann, cork bark and grand firs; 4 to 12 feet; $5-8 per foot depending on tree

Extras: Free shake and bale; hot apple cider and cider doughnuts; Saturdays include free hayrides, marshmallow roasting, fire pits and visits with Santa. Also, custom wreaths and gift packs, holiday produce and baked goods for sale.

Hidden Lake Tree Farm

To get there: 1469 Silver Falls Drive NE; take Highway 214 southeast out of Silverton toward Silver Falls and look for signs about eight miles outside of Silverton

Open: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, Nov. 23 through Dec. 24

Trees: Noble and grand firs $5 a foot, from tabletop to 9 feet and $8 a foot for trees 10 to 15 feet

To get there: 40614 Stayton-Scio Road, Stayton; take second Stayton/Sublimity exit off Highway 22 east, turn right and go straight through Stayton. Look for signs.

Open: Opens 9 to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 16

Trees: Noble firs $5 per foot, you choose, we cut

To get there: 13318 Triumph Road, Sublimity; From Salem: Head east on Hwy 22, exit and turn left on Golf Club Rd. Turn right on Sublimity Rd./NW Starr for 1.5 miles. Turn left on Cascade Hwy and go 0.6 mile to Triumph Road. Turn right and you will see us on the right

Open: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday to Sunday, Nov. 23 through Dec. 9

Trees: Tabletop – 8 feet Noble and Turkish Fir Christmas Trees; available trees will be tagged, pricing starts at $15

Extras: Complimentary hot beverages and candy canes; service includes cutting, shaking, baling and loading of your tree after selection has been made; credit and debit cards accepted.
