Here are some things you can do to celebrate Independence Day in the Mid-Valley:

Cherryfest NW

Formerly the Bite & Brew of Salem, this four-day festival features a 4th of July fireworks display, the NW Cornhole Classic, live music, King of Country Concert, food, beer and hard liquor, carnival games and rides.

When: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. July 4-6, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 7

Location: Riverfront Park, 200 Water St. NE

Cost: Free on July 4 and 7, $5 per person or $20 max per family Friday and Saturday

Stars and Stripes Fourth of July Run

As part of Cherryfest NW, enjoy a 10K, 5K, Stars and Stripes challenge and a kids fun run around Riverfront Park to kick-off Independence Day.

When: Registration at 7, race begins at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, July 4

Location: Starts and ends at the Riverfront Park Amphitheater, 200 Water St NE

Cost: $20-35, includes Fourth of July socks, free entry into Cherryfest NW, a free beer/cider and a finisher medal

Chateau Bianca Winery

Features live music, wine, a food truck, lawn games, raffles and wine.

Court-Chemeketa Fourth of July Kid's Parade

Either participate or watch as this parade featuring decorated bikes, scooters, wagons and strollers marches up and down Court and Chemeketa streets.

When: Begins at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 4

Location: Meet in front of 1780 Court St. NE

July 3rd Celebration

Features food, drinks, live music, and a fireworks display by the Oregon Garden Foundation and presented by Roth's Fresh Markets.

When: 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 3

Location: The Oregon Garden, 879 W Main St, Silverton

Cost: Admission between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. is $12 for adults, $10 seniors, $9 ages 12-17, $6 ages 5-11 and free for ages 4 and younger, Silverton residents w/ ID and Garden members; admission is free for everyone after 5 p.m. with a suggested donation to The Oregon Garden. Parking is $5 after 3 p.m. or park at a Robert Frost Elementary and Roth's gravel lot and take a free shuttle.

84th Annual 4th of July Rodeo

Features the St. Paul Rodeo, Wild West Art Fair, a parade, live music, carnival, vendors and more.

Cost: $2 for ages 6 and older on July 4 and $1 for ages 6 and older on July 6

Monmouth

Features music, dance, theater, crafts, an art show, food vendors, a children's mini parade, grand parade and car show.

When: Noon to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 4

Yamhill County

Features food vendors, kid's activities, Cornhole tournament, live music by The High Deductibles at 4 p.m., Collective Nation at 5 p.m. and a performance by We Three at about 8:30 p.m. sponsored by COUNTRY Financial, an upgraded fireworks display, discounted entry into the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum and two free IMAX movie showings.

When: 3 to 10:30 p.m. Thursday, July 4

Gervais

Red, White & BOOM! features a parade at noon, an "old-fashioned picnic in the park," live music and fireworks with great viewing from downtown along 4th and 5th streets.

Head to Lincoln City for a fireworks display on the Fourth of July.

Lincoln City

Features a pancake breakfast, craft fair and food court, parade, live music and fireworks of Siletz Bay.
