Salem Puppet Parade
A community puppet parade during the Children's Parade for all-ages featuring puppets made of reused and recycled items. The parade is happening before the Salem Art Fair & Festival marketplace opens to the public.
When: Check-in at 8:45, parade at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 19

Canterbury Renaissance Faire
This experience offers an interactive environment modeled after a Summer Market Faire from the "Good Queen Bess" (Elizabeth I, 1558-1603) era. It features demonstrations, full-contact jousting, a tavern, food and more.
When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, July 20-21
Location: 6569 Valley View Road, Silverton
Cost: $15-27 adults, $12-21 ages 6-12 and ages 60 and older, free for ages 5 and younger; free parking

YMCA Used Books/Surplus Sale
A variety of books, equipment, supplies and other items will be on sale.
When: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 19-21

Rust-O-Rama
A car show featuring hot rods, rat rods, traditional customs and more, as well as live music, vendors, kid's corner, raffles, pin-up contest, poker walk and more.

Location: Oregon State Fairgrounds, 1820 Silverton Road NE, entry through the yellow gate
Cost: $5 admission (9 a.m.), $20 car entry fee (8 a.m.); open to 1965 and older American vehicles, $5 entry for 1979 and older motorcycles

Pints for Pits
The 3rd annual fundraiser for Born Again Pit Bull Rescue where $4 from every $8 limited edition event glass will benefit their community programs.
