With building permits issued on June 5 by the city of Keizer, In-N-Out Burger has officially begun construction on the company's highly anticipated third location in Oregon.

A crew from Ayers Construction has erected chain link fencing surrounding the site at 6280 Keizer Station Boulevard NE, located adjacent to Target and Outback Steakhouse. They've begun breaking up the asphalt and pending approval from city officials of safety and erosion controls, will soon begin removing the trees, curbs and other fixtures on site to begin construction in earnest.

Superintendent Edgar Montanez, who also worked on the construction of the company's Grants Pass location, declined to comment on when the store will open, as did California-based company officials. Montanez did say that construction timelines for previous In-N-Out projects have varied widely and can take as long as six months or as little as 60 days.

Construction has begun at the new In-N-Out Burger site at Keizer Station bringing the Mid-Valley closer to the opening of the popular burger chain.

The restaurant itself will be situated in the northeast corner of the lot, said Montanez, with a long drive-through lane running parallel to the railroad tracks.

Once complete, the Keizer Station In-N-Out Burger location will be the company's third in Oregon. The two existing locations are in Grants Pass and Medford.
