Smoke is seen billowing into the sky from a test fire conducted in Sublimity on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.

If you live in Sublimity and see smoke this afternoon, don't worry.

Test fires were planned for Wednesday afternoon for fields near Sublimity, according to Oregon Department of Agriculture officials.

Officials released a smoke notice to inform the community of the test fires as well as the possibility of limited field burning.

Jason Eck, the department's smoke management registration and permitting coordinator, said there may also be additional test fires in the surrounding districts.

The smoke notice did not specifically state which districts may be affected.
