Section of Cascade Highway reopened following crash south of Silverton

UPDATE at 1 p.m.: 

A section of Cascade Highway south of Silverton has reopened after officials responded to a crash.

A driver hit a tree and was transported to medical services, according to Silverton Fire District Assistant Chief Ed Grambusch.

A section of Cascade Highway south of Silverton is currently closed while crews respond to a crash.

The highway is currently closed south of the intersection with Kaufman Road, according to the Silverton Fire District.

Units from Silverton Fire were dispatched to a report of a crash just after 11 a.m. Friday. Sublimity Fire District and Woodburn Ambulance are assisting.
