Deputies are looking for an inmate who escaped Thursday morning from a transition center in Salem.

Authorities believe Leighanna Vanderhoof, 25, of Lyons, walked away from the Marion County Sheriff's Office Transition Center at 8:40 a.m., according to Sgt. Jeremy Landers.

She was in custody for a parole violation.
