Salem Police: Boy located after not returning home from school

Salem Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a 14-year-old boy who was reported missing Tuesday after he didn't come home from school on the bus.

Joseph Sanders, a sixth grader at Judson Middle School, was last seen on campus around 3 p.m., but didn't arrive home, according to a Salem Police Department post on Facebook. 

Salem Police are asking for the public's help in looking for a 14-year-old Joseph Sanders who was reported missing Tuesday after he didn't come home from school.

Sanders is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 100 pounds. He has dirty blond hair, blue eyes and a thin build. He was last seen wearing hunter green Northface jacket and denim jeans. 

The A Child Is Missing and Salem Keizer Public Schools auto-dialers have gone out.

In an auto-dialer to the Judson Middle School community, Principal Alicia Kruska said there is no indication of a "criminal component" to the situation.

"We are eager to safely find Joseph," Kruska said. 

Police are asking those with information to call 911. Authorities are investigating and are not asking for any community members to look for Sanders at this time.
