A 61-year-old woman was flown to a Portland-area hospital by a Life Flight helicopter Sunday evening following a single-vehicle crash near St. Paul.

Dana Witt of Newberg was identified as the involved driver, according to a Marion County Sheriff's Office press release.

Investigators believe alcohol use was a contributing factor; Witt was cited and released at the hospital for DUII. She sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

Marion County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the incident around 4:30 p.m. in the 8000 block of McKay Road NE.

The woman was driving west on McKay Road in a 2019 Nissan before "leaving the roadway," according to Sgt. Jeremy Landers with the sheriff's office.

While emergency crews were on the scene of the crash, two additional non-injury crashes occurred in the immediate area. The roadway was closed to traffic for about an hour and a half during the investigation but was reopened by 7 p.m.
