Pedestrian struck by vehicle, killed on Interstate 5 near Woodburn

Editor's note: This story has been updated to correct that the northbound lanes were closed. Oregon State Police and the Oregon Department of Transportation initially reported the southbound lanes were shut down.

A male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Saturday night on Interstate 5 near Woodburn. 

Law enforcement was notified about 10:20 p.m. Saturday and the northbound lanes of the freeway were closed near milepost 271 while Oregon State Police and emergency personal responded. All lanes were reopened around 3 a.m., according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Oregon State Police are conducting an investigation into the fatality.

No names or other information have been released.
