Keizer Police Officer Dan Carroll will be honored during a celebration of life at the Salem Evangelical Church at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020.

Keizer streets will be partially blocked Tuesday afternoon as officials honor a long-time Keizer Police officer who died earlier this month.

Starting at noon, the southbound lanes of several streets will be blocked momentarily as the procession travels from Volcanoes Stadium to Salem Evangelical Church for Ofc. Dan Carroll's celebration of life.

The route will begin at the stadium, travel south on Keizer Station Boulevard and continue onto Lockhaven Drive NE.

From there, the procession will continue south on River Road N to Broadway Street NE to the church.

Carroll passed away from esophageal cancer.

He worked as a reserve officer in both the Talent and Phoenix (Oregon) police departments and was a full-time officer in Seaside, according to Lt. Bob Trump.

Carroll was a patrol officer at the Keizer Police Department since 2005.

The celebration of life service will begin at 1 p.m. at the Salem Evangelical Church at 455 Locust Street NE.
