Aumsville police search for armed pizza parlor robber

The man suspected of robbing an Aumsville pizza parlor Friday night remains at large.

A man suspected of robbing an Aumsville pizza parlor while armed Friday night remains at large, police said.

Aumsville police said the man walked into the Pizza Peddler restaurant, 325 Main St., shortly after 7 p.m., brandished a weapon and demanded money.

He fled the restaurant on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is described as Hispanic, mustachioed, 30 to 45 years old, 5-feet-6-inches to 6 feet tall and weighing 170 to 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, white shoes and a black hat with a neon green logo. Witnesses said the robber spoke in broken English.

After the robbery, Stayton police, Turner police, Marion County deputies, Salem police and Keizer police assisted Aumsville police in setting up a perimeter, but they were unable to locate the man.
