Oregon State Police investigate Aumsville officer-involved shooting

Oregon State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Aumsville that left one man injured early Friday morning.

According to State Police spokesman Capt. Tim Fox, at around 1:30 a.m., an Aumsville police officer attempted to pull over a vehicle on Bates Road near West Stayton Road. 

At some point during the stop, the officer fired multiple rounds, according to investigators. The officer was not injured. The suspect received minor injuries

Pursuant to Senate Bill 111, the Aumsville Police Department asked the Oregon State Police to be the primary investigating agency.  

Further details regarding the incident were unavailable.
