Deputies arrest 6 for trespassing, find guns, money and meth

Six people were arrested Tuesday after a trespass call led to a guns, money and meth bust in Aumsville.

Six people were arrested Tuesday after a trespass call led to a guns, money and meth bust in Aumsville. 

Around noon, deputies responded to a report of people trespassing into a vacant home on the 7000 block of Albus Road SE.

Deputies saw a man, later identified as Gerardo Figueroa, 35, standing in the driveway of the property near a vehicle. Authorities detained Figueroa after he allegedly reached towards his waistband while deputies were speaking with him.

During a pat down, deputies found two loaded fire arms and ammunition, according to Dep. Ethan Griffith with the Marion County Sheriff's Office. 

Deputies also found three pounds of meth and an additional firearm in the vehicle.

Figueroa told authorities that there were more people in the home with drugs and guns.

He was arrested and charged with delivery of methamphetamine, second-degree trespass and unlawful possession of a firearm.

After searching the home, deputies arrested the following individuals:

Emily Bensing, 21,of Stayton, Stephanie Carr, 27, and Thomas Smiley, 29, of Beaverton, were cited and released for first-degree criminal trespass.

Jorge Delfin, 51, of Salem, was arrested and charged with unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, second-degree criminal trespass and felon in possession of a firearm.

Justin King, 36, of Aumsville, was arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant.

Figueroa, Delfin and King were taken to the Marion County Jail. 

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and the Salem Police Department during the investigation.
