Authorities arrested two men Monday after they allegedly robbed a convenience store in Scotts Mills and then fled in a stolen car.

Marion County Sheriff's Office deputies were called around 9 a.m. to Scotts Mills Market on a reported robbery.

The store clerk said two men "forcibly" took cash and fled in a stolen Subaru toward Clackamas County, according to Lt. Chris Baldridge with the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

They reportedly abandoned the car along S Wildcat Road and fled into a wooded area.

Police found the car and arrested Riley Baney, 19, of Keizer, and James Hunsberger, 21, of Scotts Mills, after several hours of searching, Baldridge said.

Baney and Hunsberger were taken to Marion County Jail.
