A Salem man was arrested on attempted murder charges eight months after he was identified as a suspect in a stabbing at a northeast Salem apartment complex.

Gleen Nedelic, 30, is being held without bail at Marion County Jail on charges of attempted murder, first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

In the early morning hours of June 21, Marion County deputies were called to the Devonshire Court Apartments in the 4200 block of Devonshire Court NE following a report of a knife fight.

Investigators said the victim, who was stabbed multiple times in his upper torso, identified his attacker as Nedelic.

Police were seeking Gleen Nedelic in connection with a stabbing in Salem.

Nedelic allegedly fled the scene before deputies arrived and remained at large until he was taken into custody Thursday.

Nedelic also had warrants out for his arrest for probation violations.

In 2018, he pleaded guilty to DUI, resisting arrest and attempting to assault a police officer and was sentenced to 38 days in jail and bench probation.

He was also on probation following his conviction on two counts of second-degree criminal mischief.

In 2015, Nedelic was convicted of interfering with a peace officer and carrying a concealed weapon.

Prosecutors filed a motion to revoke his probation in August after he failed to "obey all laws as directed" and pay court-ordered fines.

He is scheduled to appear for arraignment at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
