Inmate back in custody after walking away from work crew near Pringle Park in Salem

Timofey Erofeeff was found and taken back into custody at about 2:30 p.m., according to corrections officials.

Officials are asking the public's help in locating an inmate who walked away from a work crew near a Salem park on Friday.

Timofey Erofeeff

Timofey Erofeeff, 29, fled from an inmate crew working near Pringle Park and was last seen heading towards Bellevue and Church Street at 12:15 p.m. Friday, according to the Oregon Department of Corrections.

Erofeeff is described as a 5 foot 10 inch tall white man, weighing 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue denim jeans and a navy blue sweatshirt.

Erofeeff has been in custody since June 2018 on two counts of burglary in the first degree out of Clackamas County and attempted burglary in the first degree and eluding police out of Clatsop County. His earliest possible release date is January 2, 2021.

Anyone with information on Erofeeff's whereabouts is asked to call the Oregon State Police at 1-800-452-7888.
