Stayton's Ben Rash has been selected Statesman Journal Athlete of the Week in a readers poll.

The junior quarterback/defensive back threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 160 yards and a score to lead the Eagles' to a 28-27 win over defending Class 4A state champion Cottage Grove.

The junior running back/free safety ran for 120 yards and two touchdowns, and had five tackles, including two for losses. He also blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown in the Dragons' 35-20 win at North Salem.

The senior tight end/linebacker had 14 tackles, including two for loss, and one reception for four yards in a 23-21 loss to McMinnville.
