Dallas' Johnson voted Athlete of the Week: Nominees also from West Salem, North Salem and Stayton

Colby Johnson of Dallas has been voted Statesman Journal Athlete of the Week in a poll of readers. 

Johnson rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries, and had two catches for 46 yards and another touchdown, in the Dallas football team's 35-7 win against McKay. He also completed a pass for 40 yards.

She had 15 kills, 21 digs and two aces in the West Salem volleyball team's win against South Salem.

Abi Swain, North Salem High School.

ABI SWAIN, NORTH SALEM

She won a conference meet Wednesday in a personal-record time of 18:19.3 for the North Salem girls cross country team, then also ran an 18:46.3 on Saturday in the Warner Pacific XC Classic. Her PR ranks second in the Mid-Willamette Conference and third in the state.

He blocked what would have been a game-tying penalty kick against Woodburn, as the Stayton boys soccer team beat the Bulldogs 1-0 to sweep the season series.
