Silverton swimmer Tolmachoff voted Athlete of the Week

Marie Tolmachoff of Silverton has been voted Athlete of the Week in a poll of Statesman Journal readers. Tolmachoff placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke and sixth in the 50-yard freestyle for the Silverton swim team at the OSAA Class 5A state championships. She also helped the Foxes' 200-yard medley relay team place third.

MORNING PED, NORTH SALEM

She placed second in the 50-yard freestyle and third in the 200-yard IM for the North Salem swim team at the OSAA Class 5A state championships. 

Cole Hardy, South Salem High School.

COLE HARDY, SOUTH SALEM

He had 20 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals for the South Salem boys basketball team in its 66-49 win against West Salem on Friday.

Tanner Fixsen, Stayton High School

TANNER FIXSEN, STAYTON

He finished second in the 500-yard freestyle and fourth in the 200-yard freestyle for the Stayton swim team at the OSAA Class 4A/3A/2A/1A state championships. He also helped the Eagles' 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relay teams place sixth.
