A major Staffordshire Moorlands road is partially blocked due to a fallen tree this morning (Wednesday March 13) - as strong winds continue to batter the region.

The tree has fallen on the A523 Macclesfield Road between Rushton Spencer and Leek.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said:  "Macclesfield Road towards Leek one lane blocked due to fallen tree from high winds. Highways on route to clear the road."
