Drivers are being warned to expect  traffic and travel  delays due to roadworks across the Staffordshire Moorlands this coming week.

Motorists hitting the roads of the district on Monday morning can expect a raft of delays and road closures waiting for them.

The following roadworks are taking place in the Staffordshire Moorlands from Monday February 25 until Sunday March 3.

This list contains only the roadworks considered to be most likely to cause delays on key routes as well as those involving road closures and temporary traffic lights.

It is not exhaustive and does not feature some minor or emergency repairs that come up after publication, or roadworks listed as unlikely to cause delays.

Other roadworks may finish or start before schedule or be cancelled altogether.

A523 (near Rudyard Lake): Multi-way signals on A523 Macclesfield Road at the junction of Rushton Road/Leek Old Road on February 27

Bradnop: Temporary traffic lights along A523 Ashbourne Road from February 27 until March 4

Blythe BridgeCaverswall Road closed from January 28 until March 14

Blythe Bridge: Give and take traffic control on Grindley Lane from February 25 until February 27

Brown Edge: Roadworks and road closure on Sandy Lane from junction with Bank End to junction with Hough Hill until 6pm on February 25

Cheadle: Roadworks and road closure on High Street between Cross Street and Tape Street  on March 3

Denford: Huntley Lane closed between Sandy Lane and Catswall Lane from February 26 until February 28

Leek: Multi-way traffic signals on Ashbourne Road near Moorhouse Street from February 25 until March 1

Leek: Multi-way traffic signals on A53 Broad Street at junction with Hartington Street from March 3 until March 6.

Leek/Leekbrook: Two way signals on A520 Cheddleton Road between Birchall and Leekbrook Bridge until April 12

Leek: Road closure on Portland Street until February 25
