A burst water main is causing supply issues for some homes in Stoke-on-Trent this afternoon.

Severn Trent said they were made aware of the fault, on Hanley Road in the Smallthorne area of the city, at 12.53pm today (Sunday December 9).

A spokesman said: "We have been made aware of a burst water pipe on Hanley road which may be causing supply interruptions to some of our customers nearby.

"We have a team on site, who are working to isolate this and reduce the impact in the area."
