MEIR: Mum-of-four Danielle Malbon has been handed a 12-month conditional discharge after she admitted handling stolen goods. The 27-year-old found a bag containing £300 worth of aftershave and perfume in an alleyway near her home, North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard. The bottles had been stolen during a burglary at Longton Pharmacy. She began advertising them for sale on Facebook and the police became involved. Malbon, of Stanton Road, Meir, pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods on June 27. She told officers she found the bag in an alleyway and she took ownership of it. Mike Kimberley, mitigating, said the defendant was not connected to the burglary. He added she has been left out of pocket and is embarrassed and ashamed. Magistrates ordered Malbon to pay £185 costs and a £20 surcharge.

CHESTERTON: Three directors of Chesterton-based Ecoseal Limited have admitted charging unreasonable amounts of money for the supply and fitting of doors and windows. They also admitted overcharging another customer for the supply and installation of a roof when they appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court. Paul Birks, aged 41, of Crackley Bank, Chesterton; Chris Davies, aged 35, of The Crossway, May Bank; and Jason Walchester, aged 49, of Franklin Drive, Blythe Bridge, pleaded guilty to two charges of knowingly or recklessly engaging in commercial practice which contravened the requirements of professional diligence. The three men will be sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on October 25. Their bail was extended.

NORMACOT: Motorist Anthony Tatton, aged 29, of Hamilton Road, Normacot, has pleaded guilty to failing to stop when required by police on September 5. But he denied driving while disqualified and driving without insurance on the same date. His trial will be held at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on November 5. Tatton was bailed.

LONGTON: Foul-mouthed Darren Crombie, aged 40, of Dundee Street, Longton, has been fined £80 after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly at Blurton on August 25. North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard he was warned about his language but continued to swear. Adam Morgan, mitigating, said the defendant is now drinking less. Magistrates also ordered Crombie to pay £135 costs and a £30 surcharge.

COBRIDGE: Abusive Sonia Shakeel, aged 27, of Rushton Road, Cobridge, has been fined £80 after she admitted being drunk and disorderly in Hanley on May 27. North Staffordshire magistrates were told the defendant was verbally abusive to police, friends and relatives outside Chicago's, in Hanley, at 3.40am. She spat on the ground in front of the officers and continued to shout and swear at police. As well as the fine, Shakeel was ordered to pay £135 costs and a £30 surcharge.

NORTH STAFFS: Abel Debessy, aged 23, of HMP Dovegate, near Uttoxeter, has denied failing to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offenders’ register on July 27. It is alleged he failed to register within three days of his release from custody. Debessy will have a trial at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on October 29. He was remanded in custody.

BIGNALL END: A 48-year-old man has denied assaulting a woman. Robert Hough, of Westlands, Bignall End, is charged with committing assault occasioning actual bodily harm on July 17, and a further charge of damaging property on the same date. He pleaded not guilty to the charges during a hearing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court. The case was adjourned for a trial, which is scheduled to start on January 14. Hough's bail was enlarged.

MEIR: Clint Roberts, aged 35, of Chatsworth Place, Meir, has had his case adjourned. He is charged with possessing a class B drug at Fenton on June 26; theft from a vehicle and an attempted theft of a vehicle on August 21; and failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. Roberts will next appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on October 4.

BURSLEM: Alvin Garswood-Gayle, aged 32, of Caulton Street, Burslem, who is charged with possessing 0.8 grams of the class A drug heroin at Burslem on August 16, will appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on October 4.

CHESTERTON: Twenty-three-year-old Jodie Ball, of Trinity Court, Church Street, Chesterton, who is charged with stealing goods from Primark, Hanley, on August 23, has had her case adjourned. She will appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on October 4.

TUNSTALL: Teenager Keavy Roberts, aged 18, of Newfield Street, Tunstall, and 26-year-old Keeley Roberts, of Parsonage Street, Tunstall, have denied charges of racially aggravated criminal damage; using threatening words or behaviour; criminal damage; and racially aggravated harassment, alarm or distress on March 17. Their trial will be held at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on November 12 and they were bailed.

CREWE: Motorist Tomasz Golabek, of Minshull New Road, Crewe, has appeared before magistrates charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The 43-year-old is alleged to have committed the offence at Butterton, near Newcastle, on November 7. Magistrates sent the case to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court and Golabek will appear there on October 19. His bail was extended.

LEEK: Twenty-eight-year-old Dean Eastlake, of Wesleyan Court, Mill Street, Leek, who is charged with stealing £39 worth of coffee from Aldi, Leek, on September 2, will appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on October 4.

GOLDENHILL: Twenty-two-year-old Thomas Nulty has been handed a 12-month community order after he pleaded guilty to criminal damage. North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard the defendant, of Ancaster Street, Goldenhill, caused £200 damage to the wing-mirror of a car in Bemersley Road, Ball Green, on September 1. As part of the community order, Nulty must complete a rehabilitation activity requirement for 20 days. He was also fined £300.

LEEK: Laura Carr, aged 35, of Furmston Place, Leek, has pleaded guilty to supplying heroin and possessing heroin with intent to supply on January 10. She will be sentenced at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on October 2 after a report is prepared on her by a probation officer. Carr's bail was extended.

BENTILEE: Lea Walker, aged 42, of Dividy Road, Bentilee, has pleaded guilty to attempting to burgle the Travellers Rest pub in Bucknall on September 3. He will be sentenced at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on September 25 and his bail was extended.

LONGTON: Wayne Forrester, aged 52, of Hillside Avenue, Longton, has been handed a six-month conditional discharge after he pleaded guilty to possession of class B drug cannabis. North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard he was found in possession of £10 worth of the drug on August 31. Peter Howland, mitigating, said the defendant - who has 131 previous offences - has a long history of drug misuse.
