Police have named the man charged with attempting to burgle several Stoke-on-Trent homes.

Three attempted burglaries – at properties in Leek Road, Haslemere Avenue and Baddeley Road, Milton – were reported to officers yesterday.

A burglary, where cash and electronics were stolen, was also reported yesterday.

Detectives investigating the offences arrested John Wild in connection with the incidents and he has since been charged with three counts of attempted burglary with intent to steal as well as burglary and theft.

The 31-year-old, of Perry Close, Hanley, has been remanded in custody until his next court date  at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on September 24.
