A man's body has been found on a Stoke-on-Trent street this morning.

Police were called to the Grafton Road area of Longton shortly before 6am today (Friday April 26).

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said: "Officers were called to Grafton Road in Longton at around 5.45am this morning (April 26) following the discovery of a body.

"A 54–year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances and a report will be prepared for HM Coroner."
