Punters can enjoy a free drink if they bring their dog along to two pubs just a short distance from Stoke-on-Trent this Bank Holiday Monday.
Those who take their four-legged friend to either the Shire Horse in Stafford or the Rising Sun Inn in Wistaston, can redeem a complimentary pint, glass of wine, or soft drink.
Both venues are offering the free beverages to celebrate National Dog Day on Monday, August 26.
All Chef and Brewer pubs are putting on the offer - so if you're on holiday with your pet it's worth checking whether there's one near you.
A spokesman said: “We’re a nation of dog-lovers and our research just goes to show that our four-legged friends really do make the perfect pub companions, especially after a long walk in the countryside.
“That’s why, to celebrate National Dog Day, we’re offering a special treat for dog owners who just love spending time with their furry friends, by offering them a complimentary refreshing drink to enjoy whilst winding down and relaxing in the paw-fect setting.
“We look forward to welcoming local dog owners next week.”
How to get your free drink
To redeem a free drink, punters need to visit the pub on Monday and show they have brought their dog with them to the pub when ordering their drink.
A range of drinks including wines, cask ales, craft beers, spirits and soft drinks will be available.
