Police in Stoke-on-Trent are investigating after a pensioner was targeted by distraction thieves at a supermarket in the city.

Four offenders entered Asda in Tunstall on May 1, posing as legitimate customers.

They watched an elderly victim at the checkouts and monitored their pin number.

Once he left the store they made conversation with the victim before one of them stole their purse - with cash later withdrawn from a cash machine using one of the cards in the bag.

Staffordshire Police have today released CCTV photographs of four people they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

Officers released the CCTV image as part of the weekly Wanted Wednesday round-up.

Police want to speak to this man after property was stolen from an unsecured vehicle.

The theft took place on High Lane in Burslem on Thursday April 11.

Cheadle:

Police have released a CCTV image after a ukulele was taken from a Staffordshire Moorlands charity shop.

A man entered the back room of The Samaritans in Cheadle on Thursday May 9 and took the musical instrument, which belonged to a volunteer at the shop.

Now Staffordshire Police are asking for anyone with information about the theft to contact them, and have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft.

Hanley:

Crime number: IZ/10035/19

Police want to speak to this man and woman following a fight outside a nightclub in Hanley.

The altercation allegedly took place at Fiction on February 8.

Today police have released the Security bodycam images above of two people they want to speak to about the incident.

Police want to speak to this man following reports of an assault on a North Staffordshire University Campus.

The assault is alleged to have taken place at Keele University on Saturday March 23.

Police want to speak to this woman after shoplifting was reported at a Staffordshire Moorlands supermarket.

Items were taken at Sainsbury's in Leek on Wednesday April 3.

Staffordshire Police believe this woman may have information that could assist in their investigation.

Royal Stoke University Hospital:

Police are investigating after the theft of a mobile phone at a North Staffordshire hospital.

The theft took place at Royal Stoke University Hospital on March 4.

Police want to speak to this man after an alleged case of 'theft by finding'/fraud.

The victim had lost or misplaced their bank card while away from home before it was found by a third party who attempted to use it at Shell Garage on Stoke Road in Shelton.

The transaction was declined during the attempt, which took place on Monday April 22 2019.

Police want to speak to this man after shoplifting was reported at a Stoke-on-Trent supermarket.

A total of £65 worth of alcohol was allegedly taken from Sainsbury's, on London Road in Stoke, on Wednesday March 27.

Police want to speak to this woman after shoplifting was reported at a branch of Iceland.

The theft took place at the chain's store on London Road in Stoke on Wednesday April 24.

  Police want to speak to this man following an altercation near a Staffordshire Moorlands pub.

The incident took place near the White Hart pub in High Street, Tean, on Saturday April 27.

Tunstall:

Crime number: IZ/24725/19

Cash was stolen from a self-service till at a Stoke-on-Trent supermarket.

The theft took place at Asda on Scotia Road in Tunstall at around 6.15pm on April 1.

Police have now released CCTV of this man they want to speak to in connection with the theft.
