Heavy snow is now falling across North Staffordshire and South Cheshire affecting a number of roads and schools in the area.
The Met Office earlier issued a yellow weather warning for further snow and ice, and will remain in force across the region, and much of the rest of the UK, until 11am tomorrow morning.
Readers across out patch are now reporting snow falling across large areas of the Staffordshire Moorlands and nearby areas of Stoke-on-Trent.
Snow is also reported in areas of South Cheshire,
The latest forecasts for areas including Leek, Milton, Smallthorne, Fenton and Congleton all predict heavy snow this afternoon and into the evening.
These are the latest hour-by-hour forecasts and subject to change as the day goes on.
The latest Met Office forecast for the West Midlands region, which includes Staffordshire, states: "A band of rain, sleet and snow will move in from the west this morning with some accumulations, mainly over hills. Wintry showers will follow this afternoon and it will feel cold in brisk winds. Maximum temperature 4 °C."
Police in the Staffordshire Moorlands are warning some routes may become difficult to travel on.
Chief Inspector Mark Thorley said: "Some parts of the Moorlands are about to become difficult to travel through. Please plan your route, take your time, leave plenty of distance between you and other vehicles. Stay safe."
Cheshire Police are also reporting snow is sticking on the A54 and the A537 Cat and Fiddle Road.
A second weather warning has also been issued for later this week.

Two more hours of heavy snow forecast to hit Stoke-on-Trent at around 6pm tonight by the Met Office.
Buses update
Service 4A: Unable to serve Coalpit Hill, Talke Pits and Red Street. Buses are operating A34 between Talke lights and Parkhouse Road.
Service 8: Not serving Pinfold Avenue but operating Norton Arms and Knypersley Road
Service 18: All buses from Hanley are terminating in Leek bus station and are not serving Haregate

Road has been closed as of 2.30pm, expected to remain in place until weather conditions improve.
