Remember when Jeopardy had a special online test in March looking for South Florida contestants?

Tonight, you can watch one of the players who made it onto the show through that test. (Sorry, she probably scored way better on it than you did.)

Allyson Samiljan, a communications and special events director from Wellington, will appear on the next episode of TV’s most popular quiz show. It airs at 7:30 p.m. on WPBF-Ch. 25 in Palm Beach County and WPLG-Ch. 10 in Broward and Miami-Dade.

Samiljan, who grew up in Fort Lauderdale and works for the YWCA of Palm Beach County, told Wellington’s Town-Crier newspaper that she secretly took the online test without telling even her husband.

After further testing and a mock show, her episode that airs tonight was filmed in late August in Southern California.

“I was instructed to bring three outfits, so if you happened to win, you would change your clothes before filming the next episode,” Samiljan told the Town-Crier. “Since my episode was to air in October, I was told not to wear clothing for spring or summer, to make it seem like it was October. It’s pretty strict, no small prints or stripes.”

Samiljan obviously couldn’t disclose in the interview whether she won and advanced to another episode.

This summer, local Jeopardy fans rooted for Miami’s Lucas Miner as he finished third in the show’s teen tournament. Jeopardy is now in its 36th season and boasts a weekly audience of 23 million viewers.

If you want to gear up for tonight’s show, here are some recent Jeopardy clues that contained Florida references.
