Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band ZZ Top is celebrating its 50th year with a massive North American tour this summer. So put on a pair of “Cheap Sunglasses” because Tallahassee is one of the lucky cities the real Tres Hombres will play as they celebrate their 50th coast to coast and border to border.

The long-bearded group became unlikely stars when MTV rose in the early ‘80s, with music videos for “Legs,” “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Gimme All Your Lovin’.”

Fifteen studio albums, 30 million record sales and five decades later, Texas power trio with its gruff, driving, boogie-blues sound is still going strong, playing timeless hits like “La Grange,” “Just Got Paid” and “Tush” to audiences the world over.

The legendary band visits the Tucker Civic Center with its “ZZ Five-Oh Tour” on Oct. 23

Ticket prices start at $39.50  and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday online at www.tuckerciviccenter.com.
