A Tallahassee woman is facing weapons and traffic charges after police say she left the scene of a collision before crashing into a south side barbershop where she fired off several shots from her pistol.

Tallahassee police officers arrived at the In & Out Barbershop on Disston Street on Oct. 25 to find the rear portion of Tina Kibler’s Lincoln Navigator sticking out of the barbershop. Officers were responding to reports of gunfire and learned from several witnesses that Kibler had a weapon.

Tina Kibler is charged with hit and run, discharging a firearm from a vehicle and carrying a concealed firearm without a permit.

The 38-year-old was inside the vehicle trying to get out of the passenger side doors. She appeared to be intoxicated, officers wrote in their report.

They removed her from the vehicle and searched it and her purse because of reports of gunfire. They found a Glock handgun in her purse.

Kibler gave conflicting reports about who was driving, even though she told officers she was the one behind the wheel, and that someone had been shooting at her earlier. She gave inconsistent details about who was shooting at her.

At In and Out Barbershop on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, located off of Gamble Street in Tallahassee, Fla., the barbershop is left without a storefront wall after, a car crashed into the building overnight.

In the vehicle, officers found spent shell casings that matched those inside the gun.

They learned that Kibler had been involved in another crash just moments before crashing into the barbershop. The victim told police he saw Kibler’s SUV in his lane on Floral Street driving backward while gunshots rang out from inside. The victim said the SUV then came in his direction and hit his vehicle before taking off, but he couldn't say who was driving or who fired the shots.

Officers found no evidence Kibler was being shot at prior to the barbershop crash.
