After a nationwide search, the city has hired a Jacksonville engineer to lead the city’s Underground Utilities and Public Infrastructure Department.

Raynetta Marshall was appointed as general manager of the department that oversees Tallahassee’s wastewater program by City Manager Reese Goad.

Raynetta Marshall was appointed Tuesday to lead the city’s Underground Utilities and Public Infrastructure Department.

Marshall will start June 3. She currently serves as the Director of Water/Wastewater Planning and Development for the Jacksonville Electric Authority. She is a registered engineer in Florida with a master’s degree in environmental engineering and bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Howard University.
