A Tallahassee woman died after she was struck by a car Monday morning on Springhill Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A sedan traveling north on Springhill Road struck the pedestrian just before 6 a.m. The woman was taken to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare and later pronounced dead.

The agency did not release the name of the person who died, the name of the driver or the make and model of the vehicle involved. FHP said the victim was 24 and described the driver only as a 46-year-old woman from Tallahassee.

The Highway Patrol is heavily redacting its crash reports now following the 2018 passage of Marsy's Law, a constitutional amendment designed to protect the privacy of crime victims.
