Florida State official visitor list and breakdown

Florida State is looking to close out the early signing period strong with a talent-packed recruiting weekend.

The Seminoles are bringing in 14 total prospects -- one five-star, five four-stars, and eight three-stars -- for the final weekend before the early signing period begins Wednesday.

Every prospect that will be on campus this weekend is expected to sign early.

Five-star cornerback Akeem Dent

West Palm Beach, FL

Committed to FSU

Also considering: Alabama

Breakdown: Dent has been committed to FSU for more than a year now, but Alabama has worked hard on Dent and is considered the primary competition for the Seminoles. Dent has said that he doesn't plan to sign early, but FSU bringing him in for an official visit this weekend shows that the FSU coaches believe they can get him to sign early.

Four-star guard Dontae Lucas

Miami, FL

Committed to FSU

Also considering: Florida

Breakdown: Lucas has been committed to FSU since April and he's been one of the Seminoles' most vocal recruiters on social media. He took an official visit to UF last weekend, and the Gators did a very good job with him on his visit. FSU will have its chance this weekend, and with tight ends coach Telly Lockette on staff, there's a great chance that Lucas ends up at FSU.

Four-star linebacker Jaleel McRae

New Smyrna Beach, FL

Committed to FSU

Also considering: None

Breakdown: McRae has been one of FSU's strongest commits at a position of need this recruiting cycle. He will not only get to enjoy his visit weekend, but will also be able to recruit the other players on campus to FSU.

Four-star linebacker Kalen DeLoach

Savannah, GA

Committed to FSU

Also considering: Michigan, Auburn

Breakdown: FSU has been fighting the Wolverines and Tigers to keep DeLoach committed for the past two months. Michigan has made the biggest run at him of late, but DeLoach is still expected to sign with FSU. A good visit this weekend will go a long way toward firming up his commitment.

Four-star defensive end Curtis Fann

Twin City, GA

Committed to FSU

Also considering: None

Breakdown: Fann is locked in to FSU and has been a vocal recruiter for the Seminoles on social media. He will be able to put his recruiting prowess to good use this weekend with so many uncommitted prospects on campus.

Four-star safety Raymond Woodie III

Tallahassee, FL

Uncommitted

Also considering: Louisville

Breakdown: Woodie III is the son of FSU's linebackers coach Raymond Woodie Jr. His recruitment has been a little on the quiet side, but he's a prospect that likely ends up in the class. The question becomes at what position. He could end up a linebacker rather than a safety.

Three-star wide receiver Maurice Goolsby

Dunnellon, FL

Committed to FSU

Also considering: None

Breakdown: Goolsby has been locked into FSU since he committed. The question with him is if he will be able to qualify or will he have to go the JUCO route.

Three-star defensive end Derrick McLendon

Tucker, GA

Committed to FSU

Also considering: None

Breakdown: McLendon is another player that's completely locked into FSU and has become a vocal recruiter for the Seminoles on social media. He will play a big role with the uncommitted prospects this weekend while enjoying his own visit.

Three-star cornerback Renardo Green

Apopka, FL

Committed to FSU

Also considering: None

Breakdown: Less than a month ago it was a foregone conclusion that Green would flip his commitment from FSU to Ohio State, but with the departure of Urban Meyer, Green decided to stick with the Seminoles and isn't considering any other schools.

Three-star cornerback Jarvis Brownlee

Opa Locka, FL

Uncommitted

Also considering: Miami, UCF

Breakdown: Brownlee decommitted from Miami on Thursday morning after the departure of defensive coordinator Manny Diaz to Temple, but Brownlee wasn't going to end up with the Hurricanes regardless of who the defensive coordinator was. Brownlee cancelled his Miami official earlier in the week to take an official to FSU.

Three-star defensive tackle Tru Thompson

Loganville, GA

Committed to FSU

Also considering: none

Breakdown: Thompson has been FSU's most solid commit and has been on FSU's radar for five years since he dominated camp as an eighth grader.

Three-star JUCO offensive tackle Jay Williams

Moreno Valley, CA

Uncommitted

Also considering: Indiana, Texas, Louisville

Breakdown: FSU has a major need at tackle and Williams is an athletic prospect that can come in and compete for a starting position immediately. Texas hasn't offered despite his official visit and he's likely to end up at FSU if the visit goes well.

Three-star offensive guard Maurice Smith

Miami, FL

Committed to Boston College

Also considering: FSU, Miami

Breakdown: FSU fought hard to bring Smith in for this official visit this weekend. Miami was also trying to get him in for a visit. He's still committed to BC at this point, but getting the final visit is always a good sign.

Three-star defensive tackle Malcolm Ray

Opa Locka, FL

Committed to South Florida

Also considering: FSU

Breakdown: FSU sits in a good position to land Ray. He's undersized, but produced as a senior and FSU likes his potential.

*FSU was expecting to bring in four-star Auburn offensive guard commit Keiondre Jones, but that visit is now off per a source.
