Florida State released the contract for offensive line coach Randy Clements Thursday.

Clements will make $455,000 during the first year of his contract and $450,000 during the second year. His contract ends Jan. 31, 2021.

He was hired on Feb. 21 to take over for former offensive line coach Greg Frey, who was relieved of his duties on Feb. 15. Frey was paid $650,000 annually.

Clements also received a cellphone, a monthly vehicle allowance ($650), tickets to FSU home and away games, and a $20,000 sign-on bonus for relocation.

FSU paid Houston just $50,000 for his buyout after two months of going back-and-forth about the amount. New Houston coach Dana Holgerson hired a new offensive line coach Jan. 7.

Clements came to FSU with offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Kendal Briles. The duo worked together for nine years at Baylor (2008-16) and one year at Houston (2018). FSU paid Houston $900,000 for Briles' buyout in comparison.

He signed a three-year extension with Houston Nov. 28, 2018 after the Cougar offense put up nearly 44 points per game in 2018. That extension would have paid him $400,000 annually.

Houston averaged more than 5.2 yards per carry during the 2018 season.

Clement's clause also includes the same language that Briles' contract has relating to the disclosure of any and all past investigations. Clements was also at Baylor for the sexual assault scandal that rocked college football in 2015, but was never accused of any wrongdoing or implicated in the investigation.

"Employee warrants and represents that, prior to the execution of this Agreement, he has fully disclosed to the Head Coach and the AD any information he has relating to: 1) any and all current or past investigations of alleged violations of conference or NCAA rules or regulations, or of any federal or state laws or regulations, in which he has been involved, or in which he has been alleged to have been involved, directly, indirectly, as a witness or in some other capacity; 2) any lawsuits filed against him in his official or personal capacity arising out of any of his prior employment relationships; 3) any and all
instances in which he was investigated for misconduct related to the performance of his employment, including any alleged inappropriate misconduct involving former co-workers or student athletes under his direction; and 4) any and all past criminal charges regardless of disposition."
