Jeep Compass Trailhawk launched at Rs. 26.80 lakh

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has launched the Jeep Compass Trailhawk in India at Rs. 26.80 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The Compass Trailhawk is the most off-road focused variant in the Compass line up. It measures 4,398 mm in length, 1,818 mm in width, 1,657 mm in height and has wheelbase of 2,636 mm. Fuel tank capacity is 60 litres. The Trailhawk comes with a dual-tone exterior with an anti-glare decal on the bonnet, a 7-slat grille in a matte grey finish and new bumpers with a tow hook at the rear. The Trailhawk comes with 17-inch alloy wheels shod with all-terrain tyres and a 3 mm thick steel skid plate. The approach and departure angles have improved over the standard Compass and it has a water fording capability of 840 mm. The ground clearance has also increased.

The Trailhawk gets black leather interiors with red stitching. It features an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has navigation, voice commands and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other features include automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless go, engine start/stop, cornering fog lamps, 7-inch MID and an optional panoramic sunroof.

The Trailhawk is powered by a BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 170 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm of torque @ 1,750-2,500 rpm and is paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. It has five driving modes - Auto, Snow, Mud, Sand, Rock Mode.

The SUV comes equipped with a list of safety features including 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, traction control, hill-start assist, hill-hold assist, rollover mitigation, electronic parking brake, rear parking sensors and a rear view camera as standard.
