Caviar & Bananas has reopened under new owners after a four-month hiatus.

Nashville’s dining scene in November gained a new restaurant from Maneet Chauhan, a burger and bourbon joint in the Gulch and several other newcomers.

Caviar & Bananas Nashville: Cold case of prepared meats, vegetables, fish and salads.

After a four-month hiatus, Caviar & Bananas reopened in Midtown with new owners and a different management team. The space is still part restaurant and part retail with an espresso/tea/wine bar, bakery, prepared foods, salads and sandwiches, artisan groceries and more.

Corner Pub

Corner Pub opened a new downtown Nashville location.

Casual bar/restaurant Corner Pub opened a new downtown Nashville location complete with a massive LED video wall spanning 48 feet by 10 feet. Expect classic pub fare with the addition of some Mexican cuisine inspired by sister restaurant Esquina Cantina.

Stock & Barrel

Stock & Barrel burger and bourbon joint is now open in the Gulch.

Stock & Barrel, a Knoxville restaurant with 20 signature burger combinations and more than 150 whiskeys and bourbons on the menu, opened in the Gulch. The restaurant was named one of TripAdvisor’s best burgers in America in 2015.

HoneyFire Barbeque Co.

HoneyFire Barbeque Co. is now open in Bellevue.

The newest addition to Nashville’s barbecue scene is a concept from competition pitmaster Shane Nasby. HoneyFire Barbeque Co., Nasby’s first brick-and-mortar restaurant, is located in the One Bellevue Place development.

The Ainsworth

The mac & cheese burger from The Ainsworth, which is now open in Midtown.

The Ainsworth, an upscale sports bar that doubles as an events space and brunch spot, opened in Midtown in the New York-based company’s first expansion to Tennessee. The restaurant/bar serves craft cocktails, local beer and indulgent menu items such its mac and cheese burger.

Chaatable

An Indian street-food inspired restaurant called Chaatable is Maneet Chauhan's newest Nashville concept.

Maneet Chauhan on Nov. 30 will debut her Indian street food-inspired eatery in the former Salt & Vine space in Sylvan Heights. The menu is centered around "chaat," which is a category of Indian street food that means "to lick." Menu sections include snacks; hot, cold and spicy small plates; larger plates and more.

NOVEMBER CLOSINGS

EiO & The Hive will close Dec. 2.

There were no high-profile closures in November, but there are at least two on the radar for next month: EiO & The Hive will close Dec. 2 and J&J’s Market & Cafe will close at the end of December.
