Nashville Storytellers highlights personal experiences with mental illness
Depression. Anxiety. Bipolar disorder. Addiction.
The next Nashville Storytellers will highlight the personal experiences of those who live with — and the family members and first responders who encounter — mental illness.
The live event will take place Monday at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. Doors open at 6 p.m., storytelling begins at 7 p.m.
Nashville Storytellers launched in 2016 with the goal of putting remarkable local people on stage to talk honestly about their lives.
Their stories inspire us, connect us, make us laugh — and, often, they explore life's more complicated truths.
Since its inception, Nashville Storytellers has donated nearly $6,000 to local charities.
Monday's event will support Mental Health Cooperative of Tennessee, a Nashville-based nonprofit serving adults with serious mental illnesses and children struggling with emotional/behavioral challenges, especially those living below the poverty line.
