Nashville police searching for suspects from late-night Friday brawl downtown

Nashville police are looking for people involved in a fight downtown early Saturday that left a man with a life-threatening head injury.

Nicolas Christian, 30, was hospitalized after a 3 a.m. brawl near the intersection of 2nd Street and Commerce Street. Police released several surveillance photos, along with a photo of Christian, on Saturday afternoon.

According to a police news release, Christian was in "fights with several individuals."

"At one point he was knocked to the ground and, while down — perhaps unconscious, was continuously punched before a witness intervened," the statement said.

Metro Nashville Police Department detectives say several people either participated in the fight or took photos or video of the encounter.

Police ask members of the public to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463, if they recognize anyone in the photos or have information about the figh.
