Nashville schools parents will need to wait until Monday to find out lottery results.

Metro Nashville Public Schools delayed its parent school selection announcement due to the district being shut down for weather concerns.

The district will announce the results on Monday at the same time as was expected, at 8 a.m., according to Dawn Rutledge, district spokeswoman.

"With the weather and with schools being closed, it was supposed to be today, but because of the weather, we delayed it until Monday," Rutledge said.

The district's school choice lottery is closely watched by parents choosing to opt in or opt out of certain schools.
