Fairview's Kam Harris-Lusk signs with UT Martin
Signing days at Fairview High School continued through the month of May with more of the talented athletes signing with various colleges and universities from across the country. This week we feature a Fairview sports favorite.
Kam Harris-Lusk
Kameron Harris-Lusk, age 17, is the son of Anne and Michael Lusk, grandson of Bobby and Areana Dedman, and brother to Khristian Harris-Lusk and Emma Lusk. Kam has lived in Fairview for seven years and has played football for six of those years.
Harris-Lusk bears the highly recognizable Fairview High Jackets number one jersey, playing wide receiver and defensive back positions, most recently playing in the Alumni game against East Hickman. His entire Yellow Jacket football career has been filled with accolades and awards including being nominated this season for Mr. Football. He has also been a power player on the Jacket’s basketball team.
Kam stated that his most memorable football game was, “against Waverly, because we won; and it was against my buddy.”
Harris-Lusk opted to sign with University of Tennessee at Martin on May 22, citing that, “it feels comfortable there.”
He will be majoring in Business and is looking forward to playing football at the college level stating, “I’ve been wanting to do it since I was a little boy.”
Kam and teammate Hiller Gray were recently named by the Tennessee Football Coaches Association to the TnFCA 3A All State Team and the The Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) 3A All State Team. The duo also had the opportunity to compete in the 2018 Toyota East vs. West Tennessee All-Star Classic on Dec. 7, 2018.
Kam was also named named Region 6 AAA 2018 Super Region Team Player of the Year.
