The Nashville Rock N' Roll Marathon is changing this year.

The event, which includes a marathon, half marathon and 5K, takes place April 27-28 and features a new starting line experience and course adjustments based on runner feedback, with the event ending at Nissan Stadium.

Changes to the course include:

  • The course will no longer come back on Broadway to run along the corrals at the start, alleviating congestion at the start of each race.
  • The turn at Demonbreun Street has been removed so runners can expect more road width and less turn at the start of each race.
  • For the 5K race, participants will be able to see Capitol Hill.

The event will also happen alongside the 2019 NFL draft in Nashville, which is April 25-27.

“This year’s St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Marathon and Half Marathon weekend is going to be special in a number of ways as we celebrate 20 years running in this amazing city,” Senior Regional Director for Rock N' Roll Marathon Series Keats McGonigal said in a release. "With something for everyone, we are excited for people from all over the world to experience the magic of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series and this event in Nashville.”

The marathon and half marathon will begin Saturday, April 27 at 7:15 a.m. and it is preceded by the 5K, which begins at 6:45 a.m.

Additional details regarding the finish line festival and the headline concerts will be released at a later date.
