Two young men were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds late Tuesday morning in an apartment they shared off O'Neal Lane, authorities said.
The call came in around 11 a.m. and authorities responded to the 3300 block of O'Neal Lane. Two people were pronounced dead on the scene, said East Baton Rouge Emergency Medical Services spokesman Mike Chustz.
The Sheriff's Office identified the men as Brian Bundy, 28, and Travis Coady, 27. Authorities are investigating the deaths as homicides but have not released any information about possible suspects or motives.
Sheriff's office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said a relative found the two men with apparent gunshot wounds and called 911. Hicks said the men were roommates and were both killed inside the apartment.
She said authorities are waiting on autopsy results to determine an official cause of death. It's unclear when the shooting occurred.
Police tape separated two sections of the housing complex as authorities completed their investigation.
Deputies on the scene were walking in and out of a home within the perimeter, and several people nearby could be seen hugging and crying. Neighbors speculated about what could've happened, but said it's rare for this kind of police presence in their neighborhood.

"We've got kids and usually we're outside early every other day than today," said neighbor Miriam Vakneen.
She said she and her family are in a unit farther down the complex and slept through the shooting but woke up and came outside when police units started overtaking their parking lot.
Several of Vakneen's neighbors arrived soon after, saying they'd heard about the shooting on the news.

They say there are sometimes unfamiliar people walking through the area late at night, usually teenagers, but nothing that would indicate a crime issue in their complex.
"For this to happen in the middle of the day, it's just crazy," Cadaryl Brin said.
